GOLD MEDAL FOR BLANC DE BLANCS 2018 AND COL.LECCIÓ PRIVADA 2015
The Mezquita Awards is the only competition that has been held annually and uninterruptedly in Andalusia for twenty-five years. It is one of the most prestigious in Spain, prestige earned by a hand thanks to the high qualification of the jury that meets to assess the wines. In the recent celebration of the twenty-fifth Mézquita awards held in the city of Cordoba, the wine Macià Batle Blanc de Blancs 2018 and Col.lecció Privada 2015 have won gold medals, which have been accompanied by another 6 silver medals for the wines GUSTAVO 80 ANYS red wine of the year 2014, MARGALIDA LLOMPART TINTO 2015, 1856 of the year 2015, MARGALIDA LLOMPART BLANC DE BLANCS 2017, MACIÀ BATLE COL.PRIVATE LECTION 2012 and SAUVIGNON BLANC 2018, and 2 Bronze medals for the MACIÀ BATLE ANYADA 2018 and the COL.PRIVATE LECTION 2014, medals that are added to the more than three hundred prizes obtained by the famous Majorcan winery, undoubtedly the most awarded and distinguished of the island for its good knowledge to do and the clear bet for the singularity of the wines and for the autochthonous varieties of Majorca.
BLANC DE BLANCS 2018 has been made from the premsal blanc variety, native to Mallorca, complemented with Chardonnay and a small percentage of muscatel, standing out for its freshness and aromas that give it a very significant elegance.
It stands out for its yellow colour, with greenish reflections. Clean and bright appearance, varietal aromas, notes of white pulp fruit, apple, banana, peach, tropical fruits such as pineapple and citrus such as grapefruit. Light floral and herbaceous notes such as fennel.
The COL.LECCIÓ PRIVADA 2015, with the original label of the German painter Markus Tollmann, has aged eighteenochomeses in French oak barrels to rest a minimum of another eighteen months in bottle.
