Domenico Bianchi

Born in 1955, Bianchi lives and works in Rome. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he began his career in the art world in 1977 with his first individual exhibition by Ugo Ferranti at the building of Fine Arts in New York. For this show, he exhibited twenty drawings of wax, cardboard, wood and canvas.

In the 80’s, Bianchi became one of the emerging artists of the so-called La Nuova Scuola Romana and exhibits his work with the artists of Art Povera: Kounellis, Mario and Marisa Merz, and Pistoletto, between Others. His artistic approaches have been influenced by his studies of spatiality.
